Kevin, Well you have to do you, but this sounds generally in the "I have decided to go along to get along" category of approaching life -- can't fault you as that is what most people do.
You have written some of the best, most incisive covid stuff out there -- and I read it all. As you told us to wait until mid-June before you really got going again, I have been waiting to see you pick a direction so I could suggest to Brownstone that you should be considered as a Brownstone Fellow. (Yes, there are substantial numbers of people who support the narrative of "truth without retreat" out there.)
I am sure that whatever you write will be interesting to someone, somewhere. By the time you get around to it, there will be 100 historical books on covid -- I know plenty who are waiting for it to be completely safe to write them. So you will have lots of company.
Life is hard. We all hope you find peace in the direction you have taken. But the world will likely be a less-good place than it might have been if you had chosen differently.
I will focus on the part of this that I will take as a compliment. There are explanations for the rest. But everything important will be in my actions, not in my words.
Kevin, It was meant to be (back-handedly) complementary -- mostly just a memorialization of the fact that this action has caused a disruption in the Force and all of those are to be mourned.
Excellent description of what sooo many honest and caring really-smart people have been going through these past four+ years. Most people in 'democratic' nations would never have thought so many 'normal' people would bow down to despots to ensure their own safe passage while knowingly throwing their friends and colleagues off the ship and into shark-infested waters.
Good luck with your quest to find a sustainable path of truthful contribution to understanding and progress for at least the small subset of people who have the interest and patience to read your work.
The scope of systemic failures in nutrition and medicine is part of a larger picture of gross failures in leadership, governance and science itself. A proper account of even one part of this would be very long, and very few people would have the time or patience to read it, except perhaps, piece by piece - and then probably only a subset of the pieces - as shorter pieces such as Substack articles.
I can only read a subset of the many Substacks I subscribe to, and I can't afford to pay for subscriptions to all those I find valuable. I will remain a subscriber - currently unpaid - to your Substack!
Hello, Kevin. I would suggest you not give up on your dream. There are other medical schools. You need to look around, carefully, and completely. If that is what you really want, I mean. Give us an update when you have some more information. If you decide to go for it, I know you will succeed.
I understand how you feel. What you focus your energy on becomes your reality so focus on what ever makes you feel right. We are under attack from imbeciles with unlimited financial influence but nothing else and a large number of us have unknowingly been brainwashed by organizations that are professional at brainwashing so the fact that we are not under the spell is a testament to how strong we are. Trust your instincts and carry on. Truth wins. Love wins. Stay strong brother.
Thank you so much for sharing this, it resonated uncannily with our experience in the Lutheran Church of Australia. My husband was a pastor of a congregation for over ten years, we loved our church family and they loved us. But it didn’t count for anything when fear won out over love. I can understand them being deceived by the messaging - it was designed to manipulate and divide us, and used the language of love. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. But the methodology used to convey and ultimately enforce the message - I can’t understand the kind of cognitive dissonance you need to lock the ‘lepers’ (yes they called us that) out of church whilst displaying “for God so loved the world” on your church notice board. Good people break evil rules.
God bless as you work through the next part of your journey, regroup, rethink, and don’t forget to look around and see the good and the lovely in this world, it’s still there, albeit hidden momentarily.
Thank you for what you have already shared. And it sounds like you have decided on your path ahead, which in this current climate makes sense. Yes, sadly many of the beliefs we have held dear have been shown to be another myth that we've been indoctrinated with, humans are not logical and do not always change their beliefs once new information comes to light. We can only uplift or inform those who are open. Mark Passio has a wealth on information about how humans think has been used against them to lead us to where we are now. Looking forward to your future articles. Yes, let's focus on what we want to see rather than just flame the narrative they would have us believe.
I’m a happy, paid subscriber. I’m excited to read new research on ways to enhance human performance via nutrition and exercise.
I was one of the few tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists that did my own research and concluded that the Feds and the HC industry were lying to me. I took a stand with friends and family (and on social media), but probably only because I was already retired with a solid community of amigos and a large chest of “f*ck you” money. If I were just starting out I probably would’ve looked the other way, like so many others who tolerated the Stasi. You, on the other hand, took the high road, and though you are struggling with that choice now, I think you already realize the accruing benefits wrt your self-awareness that accompanied that suffering.
Let’s cap off this too long ramble with a pithy aphorism: How about, “Virtue is its own reward?”
Dear Kevin, Here is a book I found very useful for me. I included quote from Professor Adam Grant. Good luck!
Galef J. The Scout Mindset: Why Some People See Things Clearly and Others Don’t. Portfolio (April 13, 2021) “We know a lot about how flawed human reasoning is, but surprisingly little about how to repair it in our daily lives. Thankfully, Julia Galef is here to change that. With insights that are both sharp and actionable, her book picks up where Predictably Irrational left off. Reading it will teach you to think more clearly, see yourself more accurately, and be wrong a little less often.” —Adam Grant, psychology professor”
It's ok to move on. I think we've had enough of Covid. Just waiting for a miracle and jail time for Fauci, et al. These new topics will be of interest and good healthful info. Time to shift and that's ok !
I think of your ordeal as occurring at a particular historical moment of maximum viewpoint policing in institutions and elite circles combined with Covid hysteria. You just happened to get caught up. I know it’s been hard but trust me you will recover and continue to do great things. All the best
Kevin, Your mission “Making the world healthier” may mean abandoning the current institutions. Be courageous. Write the book. Find like minded people—Dr Robert Lufkind, Dr. Mark Ghalili, are less well known and approachable, and those who remain part of or supportive of the FLCCC. There are many of them and more and more are on the scene every day. The time is now to continue speak out, speak truth, and find your voice, or "the opposition" wins. Athletes don’t have to play every minute of every game to be world-class. You are allowed a time-out to recoup etc. but do NOT give up the fight. The obstacle is the way. We are all behind you. Regards, Alan
I've loved your work on Covid, your insights, your elucidations, and your unique thoughtful perspective. I already miss seeing your posts on Twitter, but I wish you all the best in your path forward.

Yeah, I second that post.
I think most of us here agree with Kevin's ideas. I think there's limited utility in giving us more details on what we already believe.

What about the next one? No doubt they will try it again. I don’t think it’s over by a long shot…

Hey - thankyou for your courage and honesty

For history, for the ages, name the names.
