I am a supporter of the COVID-19 vaccine, and I'm aware of how it works. That has nothing to do with whether public figures and public health officials lied about it. They did lie about it, systematically. You seem to be confusing vaccine knowledge with knowledge of what public figures and officials said. You shouldn't need specialized knowledge of their claims to interpret what they said. If you need such knowledge, then it was bad public health communication. Do you understand anything I have just written?
