As examples of “People will stop getting the help they need” you cite:
“They will stop taking their medications, and they will stop receiving vaccinations.”
How confident are you that the trials supporting the net benefit of the majority of medicines being prescribed to and vaccines being injected into Americans are not corrupted rendering them unrepresentative of the true effects of those products?
I knew that those sentences would be a hang up on my audience.
I am not an expert on the evidentiary basis of vaccines and have a lot of reading to do in that respect. Nonetheless if you think that all or most of medicine is corrupt, this article is not especially for you. Although I would suggest that the reforms I propose would promote the kind of openness required to reform any areas of medicine where claims outstrip evidence. My assumption made in writing this article—whether or not my views about vaccines are as informed as I would like to them to be—is that modern medicine is on the whole good or at least worth largely salvaging in many respects.
Do you think the US Childhood vaccination schedule is at all defensible?
Do you think that the major classes of drugs esp statins, SSRIs are benefiting more than a tiny proportion of recipients?
This IS modern medicine in the USA. Pharma-captured regulators, pharmaceutical data fraud, bought-off opinion leaders, tick-box prescribing which harms millions while benefiting pharma shareholders.
Yes, there are some things in modern medicine worth salvaging (notably trauma care), but it’s impossible to be as awake to the “covid” scam as you claim you are and still try to argue against the proposition that most USA medicine isn’t tainted by corruption at some point, whether or not the deliverers of that healthcare know it.
Polio was DEVASTATING and nearly eradicated by vaccines. Measles too. Without widespread vaccination, we can't live in communities without widespread transmission of deadly and disabling diseases. I understand hesitation around vaccination for things that aren't nearly as serious or that don't spread easily, but I will never understand why people apparently welcome the return of these horrible diseases that spread rapidly and are preventable via vaccination. The risk/benefit ratio supports vaccination in these cases.
Have you heard of Toby Rogers? He’s on substack. All the intel you need on vaccines to get up to speed on the success (failure) of vaccines is in this piece. There are many other researchers out there as well (RFK, Jr.) who speak to the atrocities caused by vaccines as well.
I'm a retired medical doctor and I've lost faith in my own profession. So, it doesn't surprise me one bit that most others have as well.
And it's not a bad thing. The covid jab just repeats the history of every vaccine. After listening to the mothers of the vaccine injured instead of the gaslighting of the pediatricians, I did a deep dive on many of the others starting at the beginning with smallpox.
It's the same nightmare all over again.
I have had the time to rethink a lot of what I learned in medical school. Salt is good for you, not bad. Cholesterol is good for you, not bad. That was finally repealed in 2015 after a fifty year lie was finally exposed. Statins are bad for you, not good. Fiber is completely unnecessary. The list goes on and on.
Doctors have been groomed by big harma like pedophiles groom children. For decades. That, along with the corporatization of medicine and hospitals is the problem. Hospitals are nothing but Ritz-Carltons with motorized beds. And grand pianos that play themselves. They don’t want us well; they want us endlessly checked in. Orwellian.
I agree that doctors have been gradually reduced to robots by those with more power. That’s what “managed” care MEANS. But it isn’t health care. For that we need a whole new paradigm!
How to get there is the challenge. Having tasted power and $$$ the overlords will not let go. Orwell was obviously an optimist.
“We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.” —George Orwell, 1984
Kevin, you got cancelled by those guys! How can you still trust them and even take their statins? Come on, man! Time to unlearn some more of the medical narrative.
My evaluation of Ancel Keys and the scientific literature encouraged and influenced by him is that it is largely cherry-picked and false. I eat half a dozen pasture raised eggs per day, don't worry about cholesterol, and would never take a statin.
I think Ancel Keys was an extraordinary scientist. I think he has been very unfairly maligned. I get very large increases in cholesterol from eggs. I think if all of your risk factors are perfect and you are in great health, somewhat elevated cholesterol does not raise risk very much. This is not the case for me, as I also have elevated blood pressure.
Agree to disagree completely about Keys. But a complete history and physical exam are of course necessary for all medical decisions. Sorry to hear about the hypertension. And thanks for your interesting and provocative substack offerings.
George Bernard Shaw once wrote that all censorships exist to prevent anyone from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions. All progress is initiated by challenging current conceptions, and executed by supplanting existing institutions. Consequently, the first condition of progress is the removal of censorship.
Shaw is an interesting case. He was a vegetarian who almost died of malnutrition. He was saved by adding sheep's liver to his diet. Then he lived until his mid-nineties.
Quite the reverse is the case. Avoiding doctors will leave a much healthier population. Nothing more pointlessly damaging than vaccines, statins, antidepressants …..
It is not ‘medicine’. It’s a dangerous drug pushing antiscience mess.
Agree! I went through afib in 2020. Maybe it was the vaccine shedding (I didn’t take the clot shot) or a combo of high altitude (we went to Colorado for the month of August and hiked everyday), going from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroidism, low iodine and lack of magnesium. Anyway, my cardiologist thought I might be presenting with CAD as well and recommended all these TERRIBLE tests (nuclear stress test, RADIATION EXPOSURE) and a cardio angiogram even though my ejection fracture was perfect. And, I have a cardio calcium score of zero and cholesterol at 164. After researching my options, I said no thank you to all the tests, went to my GP who went to the granular level with blood tests to see what was going on and that’s when we discovered deficiencies in key nutrients. I refused the metoprolol my cardiologist prescribed and refused to believe what he said to me: afib begets afib. Four years later, I am afib free and have been for two years. I even hike this past month in Colorado at 12,000 ft and no afib!! Metoprolol’s inset says it can cause afib. It’s the first drug they prescribe when you go into afib. My thought process is maybe metoprolol begets afib. How does anyone know? Cardiologists only treat afib one way.
I spent over 100 hours researching afib after I got it. I read books by cardiologists about it. I joined a Facebook group on curing it naturally and followed the protocols. And, this is one of the most important ones, I didn’t live in fear that if I didn’t take a drug, I’d die. And, I trusted in my body being beautifully designed and created to self heal by providing the right environment for it. I stay far, far away from Drs as I believe my longevity is tied to that!! I have cured myself of many things by my own research. The last two times I went to a specialist, they were terrible visits and didn’t help at all. My trust in the medical industrial complex is 90% non existent. They are “for profit” and “do no harm” was thrown out long, long ago even though many people don’t realize it.
I encourage everyone to listen to the Tucker Carlson podcast where he interviews Casey Means and his sister. The recently wrote a book called “Good Energy” which is excellent!! You can go to Casey’s X page (twitter) and read what some of the top medical professionals wanted to do to his mom after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer! It is a travesty. She said “no thank you.” My motto is “just say no”. I refuse to leave my health in the hands of a medical professional who has no vested interest in healthy outcomes for my life. I am not interested in band aids. I want to get to root causes and have healing from that reference point.
Kevin, this is a great article. And here is my epiphany: I went to my GP after a bout with the latest variant of Covid because of extreme fatigue and breathlessness. He looked at all my test data, listen to me describe how incapacitated I was and offered me a statin ( test showed high cholesterol ). I asked for ivermectin. He declined stating his fear of having his license revoked. I left with NO help for my suffering body and a realization that my highly educated doctor was a CLERK for the insurance company who decides on care who in turn are owned if not outright then in soul by Big Pharma. There is no reason to go back. The gatekeepers are useless. I am now trying wild herbs I pick and process myself. Without much luck I might add. Sad sad state of affairs.
Try mixing pure lemon juice with sodium bicarbonate (to neutralise it) and sugar (for the taste).
Explanation: Part of the damage is a result of thousands of microclots forming in the small blood vessels throughout your vascular system.
This reduces the availability of sugar and oxygen and causes cells to recover slower.
This comes because covid, and the vaccine for it, cause coagulation due to its deleterious effects on a property related to the "Zeta potential".
Citrate has the opposite effect, causing blood cells to disperse and remain separate. But lemon juice is difficult to drink raw, so we add sodium bicarbonate to neutralise it.
There are plenty of other potential remedies, but these are very common kitchen ingredients with few side effects, plus real lemon juice can benefit the immune system.
Sodium and bicarbonate ions are relatively safe and are regularly processed by the kidneys in a normal metabolism.
The most likely issues are the potential to cause indigestion, dehydration and frequent urination if too much is consumed, not adding enough to neutralise the mixture burning your throat and mouth.
I will try it. THANK YOU! Since you seem interested, I get a lot of pain relief from the wild lettuce that grows in my yard!! Just no help for the fatigue and breathlessness. But I will try this. Thank you again!!
At 75 I’ve lost All trust in the medical profession. I'm not poor nor illiterate, nor Hispanic or black. The last Dr. visit I had was in the summer of 2020. I did not get the vaccine nor accommodate any of the protocols. I would see a doctor if I broke my hip or a bone, but under no other circumstances would I go again for any other reason. I take no medication's of any kind and I am better off for it. Good for you if you still trust doctors, but I don't. Nor do most of my same aged friends. We are done.
Even breaking a hop you might want to think twice before going to the doctor. Broken hips mixed with medical establishment are notorious for precipitating rapid decline in health & vitality . If you were unlucky enough to break something then have a doctor look at it if necessary but don't let them admit you to hospital.
I’m 61 and I concur!! I only go to my GP because I have hypothyroidism. But, I came across anecdotal advice on how to cure it. Ive been trying to find a way for over 10 years to cure it and I hope this is the solution (mostly lots of supplements to support my thyroid).
But, I am also vain and want a facelift and neck lift and want to go to an incredible Dr I’ve found and researched who is in Mexico. They keep you for 10 days after surgery and bring nurses in everyday to take blood pressure and do lymphatic massages. I don’t trust American Drs. I may not get it done since I’m so anti medical but I also might because like I said, I’m vain and having a difficult time accepting what I see in the mirror each day. lol. It sounds hypocritical I know!
The article heading says it all when they say " it's time to rebuild trust", I'm sure they are referring to a rebuild based on the usual intense media campaigns, psy ops, manipulation of the vulnerable & fear tactics, more killer diseases rolled out pronto & all served with whippings of vaccines. No, they need to forget about the public's trust and focus on being great medical personnel which requires them to put the best interests & health of their patients first (not the medical industry, not "science", not biotech r & d, not big pharma, not insurance companies, not their big fat thank you paycheck from all of the formentioned). No, their patients. If they do that then trust will eventually follow. The problem is I doubt whether many doctors or other meds are up to the task. After all it seems that the best doctors have quit over the past 4 years & there were few of them to begin with as med schools appear to filter out creative, resourceful problem solvers & curious thinkers during the med school intake process. Doctors ain't what they used to be & it has got to the point where even many normies understand that doctors have very little to offer aside from pushing ill tested products that often do more harm than good. We all need to stay well away from doctors if we value our health. They are a danger to society under the current paradigm.
Doesn’t this all just boil down the money in the end. People have to play along to get it along or they see what happens do you know that will happen to them so they better play the game. We’re already living in a dictatorship. It’s being run by the deep state they run this entire country from the top down they pick And choose the richest people like Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk. It is all through their government contracts that they make their hundreds of billions of dollars they’re all captured. We’re all captured everybody from the top down. My article assumes the opposite of your position. If you believe that medicine is not salvageable, then my article should be meaningless to you.
Thank you for clarifying your position.

Can you provide data which supports the contention re risk / benefit?
Are you aware that the childhood diseases had declined over 95% and in some cases 99% before mass vaccination?
Unless you can disprove that, the assertion that their decline is due to vaccines cannot be supported.

How much lemon juice and baking soda?
I don't know.
You may have to experiment to find a quantity that's suitable.
A starting point could be to try a normal 300ml glass.
30-100 ml of lemon juice.
The rest water.
Add baking soda until it's not sour.
Between 1 and 3 spoons of sugar should be enough to make it sweet.
If it works, I believe there should be a noticeable improvement. Like a feeling of lightness and mental clarity after several hours.
Ideally, you would do this on an empty stomach. Because food will generally interfere.
There's a good chance that fasting alone will have an effect top, as the body takes this time to repair itself.
